A little experiment in low-light B&W.
*istD, SMC-M 50mm f2 at f2, 1/25, ISO 3200. Av mode.
Adam, the *istD has timer based MLU feature... You might have tried to
close the lens to f2.8 or to lower the ISO rating on expense of a stop
of shutter speed. I think at 1/10 sec with MLU it is reasonably
handholdable...
Interesting experiment, I should say.

MLU isn't really usable for candid work, your viewfinder gets blacked
out for 2 seconds while you shoot. I might play with it, but I can't see
it being really usable.
Also I don't think ISO1600 produces as nice noise as 3200, with the B&W
conversion. ISO1600 is sort of the dead zone for me, too much noise for
general colour work, but not enough to look like grainy B&W.
