Were you shooting RAW or letting the camera produce a finished file?
Call me silly, but I've parked my camera's imaging option to shoot
RAW and
don't expect to shoot at anything else. I never know if an informal
candid
shot I take will turn out to be one I'll fall desperately in love
with--it
would blow to be casually snapping little pics at low-res, and then
turn
around to see bigfoot!
LOL ... I do the same thing. ;-)
However, for a lot of average scenes, full resolution JPEG *** can do
very nicely, and save a lot of storage space.
But back to the point ... If you're saving in RAW format, and you
want a Velvia over-saturated result, you have to tweak the RAW
processing parameters to give it to you. Not hard to do.
Personally, I never liked Velvia's oversaturated look, I like a more
realistic color most of the time. But then I do mostly B&W anyway.
