My feelings are similar to Bruce's.  When making a portrait the eyes are of
paramount importance.  It looks like the fellow is sitting in some sort of
motorized chair.  If so, the photo may have been a ~lot~ stronger had you
shown that, or whatever he was sitting in.  Too often a photographer will
forget about the area surrounding the subject - a big failing in many
instances.  There is often so much more to be told by getting a somewhat
wider view.  Your work with people is getting better, but sometimes your
framing is too tight.  I think this is a case where more info could result
in a better photo.

I agree, basically. I like the photo but it leaves me wanting more. I figured 
out he was in some kind of chair, but I would have preferred to see more of 
it so I could see it rather than deduce it. And, yes, I'd like it better with 
the eyes more open.

Interesting face though, and the gesturing told me something about the man.
