My feelings are similar to Bruce's. When making a portrait the eyes are of paramount importance. It looks like the fellow is sitting in some sort of motorized chair. If so, the photo may have been a ~lot~ stronger had you shown that, or whatever he was sitting in. Too often a photographer will forget about the area surrounding the subject - a big failing in many instances. There is often so much more to be told by getting a somewhat wider view. Your work with people is getting better, but sometimes your framing is too tight. I think this is a case where more info could result in a better photo. Shel ========== I agree, basically. I like the photo but it leaves me wanting more. I figured out he was in some kind of chair, but I would have preferred to see more of it so I could see it rather than deduce it. And, yes, I'd like it better with the eyes more open. Interesting face though, and the gesturing told me something about the man. Marnie aka Doe
