I'd have to disagree with that.  The thing I like best about the AF on
the *ist-D is that it doesn't restrict me to a horizontal line of sensors
right in the middle of the frame.  I probably use the central row of AF
points less than either of the other rows.



I would actually like to see another row of sensors between the inner and outer row, perhaps pushing the outer row outwards a bit farther. I have tried to use AF in the studio, but it is rare that a sensor is where I want it to be to secure focus on an eye.
