factor: Pentax has started the line of DA lenses designed for use on
DSLR only, with a smaller image circle. has any owner of these lenses
ever tried out on a film body how big the decrease in image circle
really is? I remember having read not too long ago that the DA 40 Ltd
works fine on film, so the image circle isn't smaller at least on this
one lens, although the name might imply this.
So DA lens owners: find out on a film body the size of the image
circles, on zooms at both ends, please, thank you!
This could give a hint about future plans, or at least options, whether
the images circles restrict the DA lenses to the actual APS size sensor,
or if the lenses have large enough image circles for larger sensors.
Personally, I would be happy with an 8MP 30x20mm sensor :-)
This seems so obvious to me that surely somebody has thought about it
before, but I haven't found dedicated information in the archive.
