Okay. I use an I-book G3 700 in the field to view images and download CF cards. It has a firewire port. I tried it with a USB card reader, and it was annoyingly slow on the download. I now use it with a firewire card reader, and it is quite adequate. PSCS runs reasonably well on it, and I can do a quick RAW conversion if I want to check out a shot in the field. I don't think I would want a slower machine. It has provision for a wireless card, which I've installed along with the maxed out 764 megs of memory. The I-books are not the toughest of the Macs, but they seem to be tolerant of travel and a few bumps. I think you can get more speed and features in a used I-book than you would get for the same price in a used powerbook. But I'm no expert. Paul
