This option sounds interesting. It's probably the cheapest to experiment with. I'm not sure if you would really need to print onto a transparent medium with the inkjet printer. You can still contact print with a "paper negative" (a normal inkjet print.) For a B&W silver print, this should require the least amount of equipment, and I might try it some day.
