On my recent trip I had to charge my 2500mAh Sanyo Ni-MH AA cells three times over seven weeks for a total of 4500 shots (and still going). No problems at all here and my charger has a universal PSU plus my portable HDD can charge a full set of AA cells too from mains or in my vehicle. Lithium AA cells are about 50% more expensive than a set of high quality rechargeable Ni-MH cells on initial purchase too. Of course using a good charger is the key to obtaining optimum service life and charge.
