Mark, re: the A28-135/4, here's some quick impressions.
It's a beast. Putting it on an LX with attached winder makes for a fairly hefty
package. It's not the heaviest lens out there, but among those representing this
general FL range, it's up there near the top. Check Boz's page for comparisons. Of
course, if you're now used to lugging around a 67 kit, this is a feather..
I found the zoom ring unnecessarily reluctant. It may just be this sample, but I
really had to grasp and turn the ring to get it to zoom. I was able to get it to zoom
between around 35mm and 105mm by pushing and pulling on the focus ring, but again it
was resistant.
That said, the lens provided some good sharpness. I shot most everything on the roll
between f/8 and f/16, so I can't really comment on its wide open abilities, but what I
saw was pretty serviceable. Good color rendition too. The bokeh may be a bit harsh, so
care should be taken in choosing backgrounds (something we should do anyway...).
If you want to see an example of a walk around (hand-held, just a quick look at a
subject) shot I took with it, go see:

All in all, I can see where it would be a fine lens, and if you run across one at a
decent price I think it would be a good investment. As it is, I have the range covered
with an FA28-70/4 and FA*80-200/2.8 in the zoom world as well as several primes, so I
think this lens will go to my second tier.
Hope this helps a little,
Doug
