Hi!
Shel, I respectfully submit that you are being too hard on Boris here. For whatever reason, you seem to be trying to get him to carry your baggage around this town. He is a capable photographer, not a remote control camera, so let's not go overboard directing that he shoot what you want.
Doug, I think I understand what Shel is trying to say. I have the same feeling that rather often whatever I feel/think on location disappears when I look at the shot at home.
Nevertheless Shel made few valid observations that I will keep in mind anyway.
And who cares if he is photographing in a pack? You've no doubt photographed with others. Even if he is influenced by the others, is that any different from your attempt to influence him here?
Yes, I was photographing in a pack. I simply did not set a goal of taking the place with me, if you know what I mean. I was fascinating by something totally different which I tried (with success or lack of it) to show on my photos.
I have no preconceptions about this town, so the photographs are interesting to me as they stand.
Thanks! Boris
