I finally gave in to the urge and ordered the MZ-S from B&H in NYC. Not
only is the camera in stock but the price has dropped from $899.95 to
$874.95! (The price will probably drop further by Fall.)
Ever since my old Spotmatic began showing its age I've wanted a compact
pro-quality camera system. And I think the MZ-S camera with 'Limited' lenses
might fill the bill. As I shoot B&W almost exclusively I don't need a lot of
bells & whistles. The MZ-S' sturdy compact body and spot metering system
should satisfy my needs!
I also ordered 20 rolls of T-Max 400 so I should be able to give a
pretty thorough report in a week or two!
