Having to move my eye around (and the split finder which did not work with my long lenses) was the biggest of a few reasons I never fell for these cameras. The VF is too big.

It reminds me a lot of my Nikon FM bodies: same slightly-short eye relief. I changed out the split prism for a matte screen, so that's not a problem.
