A name I don't see listed here is Ralph Eugene Meatyard. I happened to open a book on his work years ago (OK, it was because he had a weird last name), and was immediately amazed.
His work is so weird, so creepy, looking at his photos is like looking at a book documenting ghosts are real. You know how some "Art films" try to look creepy, sort of like the film-within-a-film in the movie, "The Ring"? Well, Meatyard is the real shiznit!
