If you read the fine print in the warranty, you will sometimes find that the equipment is not warranted for professional use, even though the marketing is aiming it at the professional user. Not saying this is the case, but I have seen this sort of thing in the past.

Gee, that's new for me. Thanks, Bill. I honestly and probably rather stupidly thought that flagship model of a giant such as Nikon would have better warranty coverage...
