Years ago, one of the pluses to the PUG was that many of us didn't
have web space to post photos to, along with difficult or no means to
create a digital image.  So the PUG being a place to post was one of
it's attractions.  There certainly are more venues available now.

I agree that the PUG has been diminished.  However, I personally find
it much easier to comment on a single image like a PESO than a whole
gallery - meaning I am more apt to look and comment than when
confronted with a whole gallery.
