well, yeah, but that's only one solution.  the really good labs here often
have their own profiles for different machines and different papers. one
lab here runs with six profiles, and when looking for critical results i
may have a print made with, for example, all their glossy profiles.  the
differences are subtle - maybe too subtle to matter in some instances, but
they do exist.
