Hey, I used autocolor in Elements 3! And auto levels and auto contrast and auto............ What gives?!?! <g> Photoshop savvy I am not. You should have seen the original scan. Even her skin was red. Yuck. Thanks for looking. I'll play around with it a bit later today.
Scott, one of the reasons I've been struggling much with b/w conversion is my general inability to bring colors to good balance.
Your first attempt is red, while the second one is rather green on my screen. I suggest b/w rendering with may be (very cliche) leaving her red lipstick just red ;-).
