I was going to say that, however I'll just illuminate I did a quick price check on line for 8x10 prints, I thought that Wall-Mart had the lowest price of course at 2.84 per. print, but I was wrong. MPix advertises 1.99 per. print for the cheap stuff, up to 2.50 for special papers, Best Color is $1.20 glossy or matte. I get between 40 and 50 prints per set of cartridges which cost me 45.00, and I use Ilford Gallery Smooth Gloss paper that I get 100 sheets for $23.50. So I'm paying about $1.00 per 8x10 per shot and 24ยข. The only on line printer who is clearly less expensive than home printing for 8x10's is Best Color. If I just wanted to print 5x7's I'd certainly use a commercial printer.

That is true for small prints, but I find that large, 8x10 or bigger, custom prints are cheaper to do on my system. 4x6 inch prints however cost less to have done at Wal-Mart than just the paper cost alone to print them at home.

you have to register to see it, but it says what most of us know here, printing at home costs more than printing at a retailer.
