Hi!

that's a very nicely composed, classical-looking photograph. But with such a
title I would like to know more. Where precisely is it? What well-known
Biblical episodes were enacted there? What is its recent history? What is
the building?

Ok, so here goes:

There is a Trappist Monastery called Latroun roughly on the halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Just before the main road starts ascending the Jerusalem hills sits the monastery. Beyond the trees there is a road and across that road lies the Mini Israel park (Jostein should remember it) and Israeli Armed Corps museum. The shot is made just from the entry to the main church of the monastery. As for the history - the best thing to do is to google Latroun Monastery. My history knowledge is very weak...

Hopefully I answered at least some of the questions.

Boris
