That resonates with me. The "sometimes color gets in the way" is an eloquently simple way to put it. But not necessarily just with photo-journalism / news shots. I used to lug two Lx's (or Kx's) one loaded with tri-x one loaded with Tri-x and one with PKR 64. Sometimes I'd shoot something in both color and black and white (given the subject wasnt moving:) ) because I couldn't decide which I preferred at the time and there was no way to go back later. I think it is harder to shoot color, except for those lucky times when you just happen to be in the right place at the right time with the camera ready to go. annsan
