please, is there any chance someone could summarise these tips?

It was pretty informal. Some discussion of focal length used and stuff. I
can't remember enough to really summarize. Both Juan and Godfrey gave tips, and
I
can't attribute what was said by whom. One used 24mm focal length, one uses
f/8 and shoot. Godfrey, I think, said he normally took a shot from 5-12 feet,
not any further away. Juan shoots that close too, usually closer than 12 feet
anyway, I think. Godfrey felt closer was better, otherwise there was no
intimacy in the shot.

Juan said he liked to find crowds and blend with the crowd, because he
prefers to go unnoticed. And he doesn't like taking the picture when the person
is
looking at him. Often he acts like he wasn't looking at them at all, shifts his
gaze, if they turn and look at him.

Hmmm, what else? That was about it. Except for the technical details. Of
course, shooting at f/8 you can't be that far away (Godfrey was the f/8 one, I
think). Marco said he liked shooting from further away. There was some
discussion
of that, on the distance used.

Oh, Juan does not talk to the people he is shooting. With Godfrey it depends,
sometimes he does, sometimes, he doesn't. It really depends on the situation.
I know Shel (who was not there) often engages the person he is shooting in
conversation. Not always but quite often.

So styles and techniques differ. The one common theme seemed to be you have
to be in close, really.

Hope that helps. It was all pretty general and maybe someone can add onto it
or correct it.
