I prefer mermaid shots where I can see the mermaid's tail.

An outtake from last weekend's jewelry shoot. Amy takes a dunk to get some
water on the wet suit. FA 50/1.4, f3.5@ 1/1500, ISO 200. I shot most of
the pics with a big stop to blur the background and make the model pop.
