If I had to choose a winner among the open gallery entries and even all of
the October PUG , it would have been "the cook":

The cook - by J.Schnapper
-------------------------

Extremely pleasant and funny for me to watch and I think it would have
fitted the "Kitsch" theme too.
I looks a bit bright here on my monitor.
Whether that kind of advertising helps the restaurant to sell more food may
be questioned ;-)
Very well done J...

The red flower Thawatchai Kongsaktragool
----------------------------------------

It's a bit difficult to judge that close-up flower shot for me after having
seen so much excellent results made with
macro lenses and other special equipment. Somehow the softness and
background rendering is nice and somehow I wished to see a bit more
sharpness or detail on the flower here. Sorry, this may not be of any help
for you, so just ignore it and keep on shooting and posting here, please!

Bumble - Tim Donnel
-------------------

Thanks to a true macro lens, we get the sharpness and detail I missed a bit
in the red flower shot. But my eyes keep
wandering between the bumble and the lower, in focus part of the flower. I
think I would like this photo more if the bumble
was more "pronounced" here (and the wing not partly cut off)?
The photo looks a bit cold on my monitor, does it have a blue cast (look at
the fine hair of the bumble)?
My summary: I would try again, this is not such a rare object to find :-)

Tired - Paolo
-------------

Somehow this photo touches me. May it is just the "sleep" or "female
factor", but I do like it. The bright spots next to the
bag and head and on top of the bench could be toned down a for my taste.
Maybe a bit more of (the park?) surrounding would be attractive but I'm not
sure about that.

Bill Bailey - Kostas Kavoussanakis
----------------------------------

Glad you explained a bit what happens here.
Just taking a so so photo of a famous person in "paparazzi style" is not
enough for me,
there should be some kind of story coming with the photo for my taste ....
Sorry Kostas, but I'm sure you do much better on the next PUG, please
continue posting!

thanks to all who contributed and keep the PUG alive ;-)
greetings
Markus
