Interestingly enough, as you know this kind of things happens all the time.
Philips and Magnavox, Panasonic and Quasar, Whirlpool and Kenmore.
What I started to say "interestingly enough" about, was at the local Costco
last week, the *ist DL was the only DSLR on the display. Why that was, I'm
not sure.

Would the Samsung-branded DSLRs sell at a substantial discount? Or will
there be Samsung DSLRs that are designed and built by Pentax, but have lower
specs than any Pentax camera?
Is Samsung going to run a U.S. (for example) DSLR facility equivalent to
that of Pentax USA? Will they repair lenses? Or will there be a Samsung
repair facility that just happens to have the same address as Pentax USA.?
Otherwise, where is the market for a Samsung-branded Pentax? If there are
two DSLRs side-by-side on a display shelf, identical in features,
manufacturing, and price, one branded Pentax and one branded Samsung, why
would anyone buy the Samsung?
Or will Samsung use its deeper pockets to sell in outlets like WalMart?
