I've been thinking about getting another P&S. My Optio S5i is great, but not so great in low light. I'd like to carry one around for times when I don't want to risk the *istDS.

I've been looking at the Casio EX-S500, the Fujifilm F10, and the Oly Stylus 800, all of which go to ISO1600. Has anyone heard any rumours about the newer Optios going high-speed as well? And how does ISO1600 on these tiny sensors look like?

From all I've heard, the best small sensor camera for low light- reasonable noise at present is the Fuji F10 ... I see there's an F11 model out now too. I believe there are test images available on DPReview.com for the F10 at least.

(I've got my eye on the Ricoh Caplio GR Digital ... I liked the GR1 a lot, this looks to be a similar no-nonsense compact with a good prime lens, but I suspect its low light performance is limited like most cameras in the class.)
