Yes, a Vietnamese one. It does have other mechanical problems: a rattle,
and focus and zoom sometimes don't run smoothly, and the is a _lot_ (1mm)
of play in the extending barrel at 50-70mm.
I'm trying to get an idea of the percentage of failures in the
ones that are out there.
I'd buy another if there's a good chance it would last a while.
I just bought another one, supposedly mint. If it is, my current 28-70 can
go: let me know if you're interested. You of all people should be able to
mend it, I think?
