For any who might be interested, I've finally updated my web site. The Canon EF lens price database (CELOSdb) and manual focus lenses from the SMC Pentax database (SPLOSdb) have been merged with a new section on Large Format lenses to produce Lens$db (abstract below). I've also added a lot of new stuff, including: a summary of some online lens reviews for Canon EF & compatible lenses; a number of photography calculators and information; and, a FWIW section. Same old photos (my next project is a stock photo site).
Lens$db Abstract Lens$db is the Large Format, Canon EF and Other Stuff Lens Price Database. It has prices and physical specifications for over 500 lenses and other stuff, including: modern, in-shutter large format (LF) lenses; all Canon EF prime lenses; all Canon EF L-series zoom lenses (plus a few others); many EF-compatible "third party" lenses; a selection of manual focus SMC Pentax, Takumar and other lenses; plus, other stuff including; teleconverters, flash, and macro accessories. The prices are mostly for used equipment in excellent to mint condition, based on eBay sales and online list prices at over 100 camera stores. LF lens prices were collected over three months, from 1 July 2005 to 1 Oct 2005. Prices for Canon EF and compatible small format (35mm) lenses and EOS accessories were collected over one year, from 1 Oct 2004 to 1 Oct 2005.
