Neither has my Yashicamat, I'm ashamed to say. The D has definitely allowed me the freedom to shoot more frames and take creative chances that I might not have if I'd had to look out for my wallet. Owning it has also exposed me to the joys of super wide glass. I doubt I would have even bothered investigating anything wider than, say, 24mm if I hadn't been forced to by the focal lenght multiplier. My husband got back into shooting with a passion when the C*non 300D came out - he hated the workflow of shooting film and then scanning it - and he's now on his third DSLR in 2 years, the 5D.
