Has the MLU - any difference in your instruction below?

Before I saw your reply, I absentmindedly put another roll of
film in it (just does not look right empty!). I noticed that
when I tried to pull out a little more leader, that it seemed
that the supply side was putting up more resistance than it
should. I will try your instructions below in a day or so
after I expose this roll.

Thanks for your time, brother!

Dave

   Delta shouldn't be a problem.
Is it an MLU or pre MLU camera?
Here is a little experiment you can try...

With no film in the camera, open the back a couple of inches
and rotate the
thumbwheel in the center of the frame counter until it is
showing a frame
number. While holding it, close the back.
The camera will now work as if it has film in it.
If it is still hard to advance, you have a flakey film
advance.
Send it for repairs.
If it is normal feeling, you have a problem on the supply
side, which you
may be able to fix with a judicious application of
appropriate lubricant to
the film spool holders.
The bottom spool holders are somewhat susceptible to
corrosion and dirt.
