My wife's Canon G2 has a very poor viewfinder, but try as I might, I
cannot bring myself to use the LCD screen on the back for normal shooting
at eye level. It works well for low or high angle and covert photography,
but for plain and simple picture-taking I use the viewfinder exclusively.
My instinct says to do so too, but I use my Digi P&S at macro mode 99%
of the time, where the viewfinder fails miserably due to parallax...
The manual explicitly says one should consult the LCD in this case.
