Looking at my digitally captured images of similar content in most cases they 
easily resolve skin tone and blemishes as well as discrete hairs and lashes and 
that is in either the original colour versions or the B&W conversions.

I'd love a bit more resolution but I doubt I'm losing in the tonality stakes 
when using digital captured images to produce B&W output.
