I understand the joy of getting the framing precisely right in the viewfinder, but I think you're getting a little carried away with the concept here. What would you do with a film SLR, other than a Nikon, Canon, or Contax pro body (the only three I can think of at present that include a 100% coverage viewfinder), or a rangefinder camera?
Well, you're right... It is just that (as I also wrote in my reply to Bruce) I was having fun... It was kind of exercise for me, but in a joyous way.
There is *nothing* wrong with a little bit of cropping if you have a precise framing in mind. In fact, due to the vagaries of matting and framing, you are generally better off framing just a little loosely so you have room to work with when it's time to put a photograph on display.
Of course... I don't hesitate to crop when I see it may help. Boris
