True, but I'll add that after receiving my La Crosse charger and purchasing several sets of new 2500mAh Sanyo Ni-MH cells and running the conditioning cycle on this charger I have never experienced better battery life. I'm consistently achieving over 1000 shots per charge (RAW). I always run the batteries flat in the camera then set them in the charger on the discharge/recharge cycle (500mA/1000mA).
