Yes. More or less what I did.
The "fact" I'm basing my opinion is of course that I believe I have at
least a rough idea of what display technology costs. It seems to me that
LCDs on modern digicams make up a rather significant proportion of the
total cost of the equipment, and it seems to me they have low
resolution/very large pixels compared to what's required for a
electronic finder comparable to a decent optical one.
And, I believe someone said the rangefinder mentioned above was a Leica
one. Surely you can't draw conclusions about the general cost of
anything based on their prices?
