We crossed over the border from Canada to the USA 7/8 years back with some Alberta Spruces, and other plants we purchased at a nursery in B.C. We were delayed and had to go to the US agriculture office and find the official. He asked to see that we had purchased them at a bonafide nursery and then inspected the plants.

He informed us that they had aphids. However, he also told us that Canadian aphids were the same as American aphids. :-) I highly suspect it's the same with homosapiens.

Next time we just took a CD with us, even though it was a big hassle having to install it at the customer site, it was less of a hassle than dealing with the brain dead Canadian customs officials and regulations.
