I worked in a small photo lab in Vancouver in the early '60s. Any frontal nudity got the whole role trashed. A discretely uncovered breast would occasionally be allowed. If the owner of the film protested he was threatened with a call to the police.
On the other hand photos of naked children were more acceptable then than are now.
