No. You get a v2.4 *profile* for the Pentax *ist D, which is 100% compatible with processing your RAW files in Camera Raw v3.x. They didn't update the Pentax *ist D profile for v3.x ... I doubt there was any need to. But you get all the Camera Raw v3.x features.

I get the same thing with DS PEF files.

CS2 ships with the Camera Raw plugin v3.0. The Pentax *ist D camera profile might not have been updated since ACR 2.4, however. They don't necessarily update all camera profiles with every revision.
Between ACR 2.4 and ACR 3.2 is a world of difference!
