misidentified the US as the oldest existing
republic. It isn't, I was correcting him as it is the oldest
constitutional republic, something, in spite of it's failings,
rightly to be proud of. If you have to be a p***k about it, it's time
for you to read something else.

"Obviously" I know what a republic is, and I see the significance of
constitutional republic. However, that changes nil on the meaning of
my previous posts - that it still a stupid pissing contest who has the
oldest constitutional republic.
