Thanks for the compliments and comments. I agree with all your suggestions.
The images are too small, and there are too many of them. I started with
over 300 images, and I guess I didn't spend enough time narrowing down that
amount to a reasonable sized gallery. ;)
I redid the gallery with larger images. (Now, I wonder if they are too
big?) :)
I also cut several of the images from the collection. I think I should cut
more before I call it finished. I should probably limit myself to no more
than 2 index pages. (There are currently 3.)
I would appreciate it, if you could revisit the site and let me know what
you think of it now:

I like what you're trying to do, however, I think the gallery needs some
editing. There are a lot of pics, and some of them don't add much or
anything to the story. Try reducing the number of pics by half ... if you
use the strongest images you'll end up with a stronger gallery that will
pull the viewer in. The situation you photographed is unique, work with
that uniqueness and cull the mundane pix.
You've got something really good here - just work with it a little more.
