Incidentally, I think this is known here already, but I checked with Pentax
and the MZ-S frame overlapping thing is not a problem. It's a minor firmware
glitch. They discovered it early, and they know how many cameras sneaked in
to the U.S. before the fix was applied and it's a small number. Every Pentax
distributor is aware of the problem, and knows how to fix it, and the fix is
simple, fast, easy, and permanent. New cameras being sold now won't show the
problem. Naturally, Pentax is sorry that some "early adapters" have to part
with their new cameras however briefly, but speaking from personal
experience I have to say that this type of thing is virtually routine with
new camera introoductions--there are always a few "bugs" discovered after
new products are released, especially with all-new designs. This one, by
comparison with many, is nothing. If it turns out to be the worst thing that
afflicts the MZ-S then Pentaxers have got nothing to complain about.
