I don't know about the DS2, but for the "D" TTL flash only works well at ISO
200-400. At ISO 800-3200 the accuracy of exposure seems to vary. The
AF500FTZ does not have "normal" auto modes, using a built in sensor in the
flash unit.
This does not make the AF500FTZ the obvious choise for a Pentax DSLR camera.
I guess more recent flashes, utilizing P-TTL may work even better.

Many Pentax bodies (PZ-1 and later models, like MZ-S and *ist D) actually
does TTL-flash in manual mode, which I find brilliant. I believe this goes
for the DS2 as well. The user guide probably don't say so. It doesn't, for
the three just mentioned cameras, AFAIR. But it works anyway :-)

Regards
Jens

Emne: *ist DS2 and AF500FTZ Questions

Hello. I am seriously thinking about purchasing an *ist DS2. I have the
AF500FTZ flash. I also have the AF280T. Can I use the *ist DS2 in manual
mode and the AF500FTZ in Auto TTL and expect results that I would get with
my PZ-1p (excellent)? Thank you.

Francis
