Yes, but it does put a measure of accountability on them and hopefully some guilt.

Mark, put a password on them, if they are pdf. That way it adds a measure of annoyance/protection. You could use the password:
"manualspropertyofmarkroberts"


That wouldn't accomplish anything, really. They could still copy the
files. If I locked down viewing and printing I guess I could provide
passwords for people who download the files, but then that would
presumably have included the people who are now selling them.
And really, I don't want to prevent people from copying and distributing
these files; I'd like to *encourage* it, in fact. I just don't want
people charging money for it.
