A nice capture David. Obviously the cloud formation & its color really make
this.
I too, feel that the way it is cropped has added too much tension to the
image. I'd prefer at least twice as much foreground.

With both photos, you've inspired me to work harder on my sky shots,
although, I rarely seem to get as lovely a sky (or foreground) to work
with as you do.
In my landscapes the sky always seems muddy (I blame pollution -- when
you fly around here, you can see a brown layer about 2000 to 3000
above sea level) and the clouds are ill-defined. So I'm definitely
loving all the detail I can see in your photo. Don't worry about the
bottom, it's fine as far as I'm concerned.

I've always been fond of this pic, but I think I chopped a bit too
much off the bottom after scanning (it was difficult to tell where
the edge of the frame was), and I'd prefer the clouds to be further
up in the frame. I could crop some off the top for a panoramic shot
but I do like those streaky clouds at top-left...
