No, you can't trap focus by de-clutching the AF on the
ones I've tried (PZ1p, F* 300/4.5, and FA* 600/4.) It
just does not work.

I think the body knows the lens is AF even when it is
de-clutched to be in manual focus. Adding an MF
extension tube eliminates the AF contact between lens
and body, so trap focus should work.

BTW, every once in awhile I see comments on the Canon
lamenting their lack of trap focus. Apparently, no
Canon lens or body will perform trap focus.
