paul (and all other baseball fans)

if you haven't already read it, go get Triumph and Tragedy in Mudville
by stephen jay gould. his reminiscence of taking a good beating
because he gloated about a yankee victory while visiting brooklyn (he
now realizes he deserved it <g>) was priceless.

the rest of the book, a collection of essays and articles is
wonderful. a great read!

and, congrats to you and all sox fans everywhere. it's a nice
feeling, isn't it?
