It's not always the aperture blades. I had a slow SMC-K 35/3.5 which I
opened from rear, there was lubricant - just oil, no sticky grease - at
the ring at which the aperture lever is attached which made movement
slow when released. the aperture blades were dry, as I could see. I
cleaned it with some propyl alcohol, then everything was fine and snappy
again.
