Thanks for your comments.  Using layers in PS, it was easy to make a few
variations of this pic, adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation, and so
on.  A slightly brighter pic was almost my first choice, but keeping the
tones closer to the way the light actually was seemed to give a more
interesting result.  A pic like this isn't so much about detail as it is
about feeling and emotion, which may or may not have been well expressed
here.  Still, by sacrificing some detail the pic may convey a better sense
of time and place.

In any case, it's an experiment and an exploration for me.  I've made
plenty of sharp and detailed pix, and I have to say, it's freeing not to be
concerned about the minutia of the image and to just concentrate on
expressing a feeling.
