I've had a couple of K85/1.8 lenses, and have used several.
It's pretty good, but the A*85/1.4 is sharper (and BIGGER!),
and I understand that the 77mm Ltd is also sharper. It's
certainly not the sharpest.
What the K85/1.8 has is somewhat less contrast than these
other lenses, and that sometimes allows for better detail in
the shadow areas. With a film/developer combination that
yields high accutance, the K can appear sharper than it
actually is.
BTW, I love the K85/1.8, and use it a lot more than the
A*85/1.4. Overall, I think it's a better "shooter" as it's
smaller, lighter, easier to handle, and less intimidating and
obtrusive.
