I'm afraid I've never had one of these apart. Well, not your version. I
had to fix a sticky aperture diaphragm in my version 3, but they're
totally different lenses.

I tried taking my rev3 apart to remove the Ricoh pin, but it *really* didn't want to come apart. I couldn't figure out how to remove the rear mounting flange with all of the 'A'-stuff in there. Since I then noticed the pin retracted when on 'A', I aborted the procedure... it couldn't get stuck in the AF hole if retracted.

So far I've done two sticky aperture diaphragm surgeries. The first on a Sears 135mm f/2.8 (surprising good lens). The last one was yesterday... a Vivitar MC 28mm f2. That one was like doing oral surgery through the rectum.... :)

I believe I have given up on the rev1 VS1. I got the auto diagram to work. With the convoluted 2-helicoil "macro" focus mode, I figure it'd be really difficult to not screw the whole thing up.

Thanks,
-Cory
