Hi Albano ... I'm sending this off list for obvious reasons.
A very dear friend lives in Israel. She has purchased lots of camera gear here in the US and sometimes she has it shipped to me, and I reship it to her. When her gear is shipped, I enclosed a note thanking her for loaning me the camera or lens, which indicates that it was hers to begin with. I sometimes enclose a note saying that I had the item repaired or adjusted for her at my specialized shop. She has never had to pay tax or import duty in such situations. Maybe that would work for you. Someone here (perhaps Juan - and I suggest him only because I know you've met and because I know you can trust him) can take delivery of the camera, check it out for you, and then send it to you. Do you think that might work? Would it be worth it? Shel "You meet the nicest people with a Pentax"
